Share your church newsletter

Each week at my church we produce a newsletter. It is handed out with the Bibles as people arrive at church and usually includes:

  • a message from the Senior Pastor or one of the other staff,
  • details on what’s happening at church,
  • prayer points, and
  • how to financially give to the church.

We designed a template that contains the constant content and this is professionally printed in a bulk run. Then, each week we ‘over print’ onto the template, with the variable content. I feel this is a neat compromise – both using a design that looks good, without the stress of going to print each week. I’ll show you an example of our newsletter in an upcoming post, but I’d like to open up the floor to hear from you. I encourage you to use the form below to share the newsletters that your church produces – I’m sure we can all learn and be inspired by each other. I’ll collate the submissions, and share them, along with my church’s newsletter soon.

sweet idea – looking forward to seeing them!

My old church has been doing this for about 10 years.
I don’t think they have ever needed to change the design – maybe just some minor alterations. I don’t have a copy to post, but having been away from the church for the last 6 or 7 years, it is refreshing every time I go to visit to see some colour in the weekly bulletin.

I’m all for it – great idea!!

St. Hilda’s, Katoomba, have a weekly bulletin which is also available on line at http://www.sthildas.net/weeklybulletin.pdf
On the front is the title of the sermon series given by the minister. Also a graphic which changes with each series.
On the back is the weekly Backchat by the minister.
Inside are weekly notices, upcoming events and daily prayer points.
If space permits there could be a cartoon or pithy saying.
