I think we use our brains and consult the Spirit about the use of videos and pop culture in our communication of the Gospel, but I ABSOLUTELY think we should use it. Just my two cents on a blog that is over a year old... in case anyone else reads it now (like I am). Jesus used parables, stories, images and examples from his “culture” all the time… people love stories and things they can relate to. I think we use our brains and consult the Spirit about the use of videos and pop culture in our communication of the Gospel, but I ABSOLUTELY think we should use it. New media should be used to bring more to Christ.. doesn't mean it is to replace preaching, but if it's a tool God has given us to use to reach a dying culture then I say use it...
