Make your service times visible

If you could include only one piece of information on your church website, what would it be?

For my money, it would have to be the service times/location (I’ve combined them for the purposes of making them a single item, and because they’re so closely related!).

I came across the Brunstad Christian Church website via the website for a campsite they run – Long Point.

It was a frustrating experience as a visitor to their site, because I couldn’t find the service times, or even where the church is located. I came to the conclusion that maybe it isn’t actually a church – perhaps it’s just a resource website. I’ve sent them an email to clarify. Can you find the service times?

This is basic stuff for a church website – make sure your visitors can easily see where your church is, and what time it meets. College Park Church is a great example of this.

We worked on this theory for our new site, http://churchofcelebration.com our goal was to make the service times, and a MAP prominent on just about every page.

We also figure that websites are a lot like print, so people read upper left to lower right. Upper Third to Lower Third.

So our times and place on every secondary page is in the upper third at minimum and certainly on the I’m new Page on the Left side.
