Add a ‘Review’ tab to your church’s Facebook page?

One of the common elements I’m discovering on the Facebook pages of organisations is a reviews tab. It looks like this:

The reviews tab allows the user to write a review, and give the product/brand a star rating out of five.

Some of the organisations using this facility include:

Here’s what I’m wondering – if your church or ministry on Facebook, would you add a reviews tab? Do the benefits outweigh the risks?

Cool, how do I do it?

If the reviews are providing real help about products, and also demonstrating an identification with the wider world, it could be good. So long as it doesn’t look like advertising and product placement.

I did try to put a book review tab on my fan page, but the quirks of Facebook mean that the application I use on my personal page does not currently work on fan pages.

For using Facebook and Facebook fan pages for outreach, I’ve done a page at

and would be glad of comments and stories to add.
