This is how Eastwood Anglican Church is promoting their Easter services this year (click to enlarge):

We’ve gone with something pretty similar at Clayfield Pressy (in Brisbane). I’ll let you know when our ad is live.

Pretty cheesy, ‘the greatest update’. I couldn’t find them on Facebook either, except for a Places location page.

I’m not sure that the purpose of the ad is to direct people to a Facebook page.

Let’s be kind and generous with our critiques – I’m sure that a lot of time was put into thinking through and then executing this concept. It’s a challenge thinking of ways to reach our neighbours, and it’s good for us to encourage one another in this.

ha ha ha ha ha cheesy. I hadn’t heard that about it yet. The purpose was to instantly grab someone’s attention – and we think Facebook is pretty recognisable but out of context it could pique interest to read. One of the problems with handing out cards in letter boxes is that it’s so hard to get people to pay attention. We think this could have a degree of ‘attention-grabbingness’ to it.

Also – the update is more humour than cheese. A little tongue in cheek you might say.

Oh and sorry – the FB page isn’t ready yet, it’s still in the making. It’s still hidden except from admins.
