4 years of promoting Easter services at St Michael’s Cathedral

Easter in just 2 weeks away! It’s getting late to be developing marketing campaigns for this year, but I want to keep sharing what churches around the world are doing to promote their Easter services, so that we can continue to learn from each other. You can explore all posts about Easter here.

Thanks to Sandy for sharing the concepts St Michael’s Cathedral have used to promote their Easter services since 2008. The graphic designer who executed these campaigns is Dominic Kipps.

I love this years one! That’s a really good, quick communication of the idea.

These are great! I assume the details are on the back.

As always, content is king – the concept in each of these is very strong. Churches need to put serious work into coming up with concepts before they get in touch with a designer to execute them. Flyers that just tell you the service times (however beautiful the layout) might be effective for the handful of people who are already interested in coming to church twice a year. But flyers like these that make a point (or ask a provocative question) have a chance of engaging a market that is more disconnected from church.
