Feedly – my replacement for Google Reader

A great solution for orphaned Google Reader users.

I’ve been a huge fan of Google Reader for as long as I can remember.

Unfortunately, Google Reader is soon to be no more. Fortunately, I’ve found a great replacement – it’s Feedly – and it’s a winner.

Feedly have capitalised on the collapse of Google Reader – with 500,000 users moving across in just 48 hours, and some helpful tips for users making the move.

The iPad app is beautiful (and my preferred way to skim through feeds). The best feature is the ‘Save for later’ function – just hold down on the title of the article, and it’s added to a list of articles to read later.

Get Feedly.

Here’s some tips for using it from Tony Morgan.

I have been using Feeddler and am happy with it as an app reader. But will definitely try Feedly and compare it

I agree. It’s what I’ve been using. It’s not perfect, but close enough for my needs.

Feedly seems great (similar nomenclature to Workflowy) so far but I notice there’s no data exit option in case it goes the way of Google Reader.

I have been using Feedly for quite awhile and have always liked it better than Google Reader. It is my morning newspaper.
