Video: Stop Accepting Nonsense

My brother-in-law, Carlos sent me this video. It’s a campaign running in Canada to promote the bank ‘Ally‘.

I think this video is clever in that it addresses a commonly held understanding – a ‘fact of life’ – and then offers an alternative. Take a look:

You can see other videos in the series on the bank’s YouTube channel. Interestingly, the website for Ally makes no reference to the ad campaign – if you’d seen the ads and then visited their website, you might wonder if you’d arrived at the right place.

Here’s the question for today: Could there be scope for churches to do something similar – perhaps addressing some of the commonly held (mis)understandings about church or Christianity?

Of course, as the National Australia Bank taught us last week, all of this brand realignment can be undone in a single day.
